The Ocean Clean-up is a non-profit organisation, that is developing and scaling technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. With their aim, to put themselves out of business once the oceans are clean.
Did you know that billions of disposable razors end up in landfill each year? A standard disposable razor is only good for at least 3-10 shaves before it gets clogged and goes blunt – then off to landfill it goes.
Plastic pollution in the world’s ocean is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time, impacting nearly 700 marine species. And it does not only impact sea life, but it also carries toxic pollutants into the food chain – a food chain including us humans. These razors also end up in our oceans...which is another reason why I support this charity.
